This ISS customized Rossi R95 was originally an experiment to determine the compatibility of aftermarket furniture designed for the extremely similar Marlin 1895. We installed the Magpul Marlin 1895 ELG Handguard and Buttstock, making it almost identical to the Marlin Model 1895 Trapper ELG. The Magpul furniture adds a modern twist to classic lever guns by adding M-LOK accessory slots, QD slots and shell storage in the buttstock, and an integrated handstop in the forend. Our unit differs from the Marlin by having a standard size lever loop, 20″ barrel and barrel mounted rear sight. This makes the Rossi have faster cycling, better ballistic performance, and optics mounting without interfering with the sights. The OEM wood stock and forend is included when the classic aesthetic is needed.
