The M91/30 was a revision of the M1891 to update the rifles to changes in how wars were fought at the time. Shorter and lighter than their contemporaries, this model retained high parts compatibility with their older counterparts. It also dealt away with some features that were not longer relevant on the battlefield. The M91/30 was replaced when the M43 cartridge and rifles that used it were adopted for infantryman.
