Back-Bored Technology is based on extensive research and testing to find the secret to tighter, more consistent patterns. Instead of the traditional bore size of .729″, this research shows the ideal 12 gauge interior diameter is .742″. In 20 gauge barrels the ideal bore diameter is .630″ instead of the standard .618″. If the bore is any larger the gases will blow by the shot cup and reduce pellet velocity. If the bore is too tight the pellets are deformed as they pass through the forcing cone, causing poor ballistic performance.
Chrome-Plated Chamber and Bore are critical for today’s steel and Hi-Density (HD) shot. Hard chrome makes the surfaces highly resistant to wear and gives you superior protection from rust and corrosion. That’s why all smoothbore Super X® Pump shotguns feature a hard-chromed chamber and bore.
From the duck blind to the firing line, the INVECTOR-PLUS™ Choke Tube System is the world’s most consistent. The Super X® Pump comes with full, modified and improved cylinder flush-mounted choke tubes so the gun is ready for anything, right out of the box.
Speed-Plug System makes it easy to remove the three-shot adaptor. Just remove the magazine cap, push on the spring retainer holding the spring in place, twist and remove the adaptor. This trouble-free design that lets the shooter “pull the plug” in mere seconds without tools.
The Trigger Guard on the Super X® Pump has been redesigned with a larger opening. A larger, Ambidextrous “Safety” Button has also been added and can be reversed to offer easier operation for left-handed shooters.
Drop-Out Trigger Group is simple to remove. Push out one pin and pull the complete trigger system out for cleaning, lubrication and inspection. It’s an easy way to keep the Super X® Pump shotgun in top shape, regardless of nasty weather or gritty shooting conditions.
Four massive Rotary Bolt Lugs provide support, strength and solid lockup in the barrel of the lightning-fast Super X® Pump. Under recoil, the mass of the shooter slows the rearward travel of the shotgun, while the inertial motion of the bolt, slide and forearm continue cycling the action to give a head start ejecting the fired shell.
The Super X® Pump has the best recoil pad ever put on a shotgun. Directional rib structures inside the INFLEX® Technology Recoil Pad help channel the recoil impulse by moving the comb down and away from the cheek. The pad’s smooth textured surface makes shouldering the Super X Pump snag free.
A pair of robust steel Action Guide Bars eliminate the twisting and binding that waste time and energy when cycling the action.
